Absolom was the other buck that we were able to get when the Clarion Nubians herd was dispersed. So grateful that Claire let us have him!

Absolom's dam, Abraxis, is such a graceful doe with a very level topline and a gorgeous mammary system with nearly ideal teat placement. At the 2019 ADGA National Show, she placed 6th in the 3-year-old class. Her dam, Althea, was a very deep and angular doe and has produced such lovely offspring such as SG Wingwood Farm TL Aviva and SG Wingwood Farm TL Atlas, both whom have excelled on the ADGA Elite lists. In 2015, Althea placed 6th in the 7 & Older class at the ADGA National Show and was awarded the High 305 Butterfat record!

Absolom's sire, Candyman, has surged as one of the nation's most productive and highest quality  Nubian bucks, claiming the #1 spot on the December 2019 ADGA Elite list and sired both 1st place Junior Get-of-Sire and 1st place Senior Get-of-Sire at the 2019 National Show. His daughter, Absolom's half sister, SGCH Wingwood Farm Sweet Avina 3*M, has exceeded not only in the milk pail but also in the show ring. She currently is in the 99th percentile of the ADGA ELITE list and milking over 3,400 pounds her second lactation. At the 2019 ADGA National Show, Avina went 1st place/3rd udder in her class and also part of the 1st place Senior Get-Of-Sire. To top it off, Avina appraised an impressive EX92 as a two-year-old! Another daughter, SG Wingwood Farm Sweet Amber 3*M, is an impressive milker, almost milking 3,000 her first lactation and along with Avina is currently in the 99th percentile on the ADGA ELITE list! As a first freshener, she appraised VG89, the highest score a first freshener can get! She also placed 4th in the same class as Avina at Nationals. Both Avina and Amber were part of the 1st place dairy herd at the national show along with Absolom's maternal aunt, Altima, and his dam, Abraxis!

We are very excited about the Absolom daughters that we have seen. Two of them, Clarion Apples to Apples (owned by Bella Creek Nubian Goats) and Clarion Memory Lane (owned by Smithen Farms) both had a fantastic show season in 2021, both going 1x Grand Champion and 1x Best Jr Doe in Show! Both have wonderful general appearance and we are anxious to see how they freshen in 2022! One daughter in our herd, Terabithia, has earned her dry leg as well.
